The common cuckoo is a member of the cuckoo order of birds, Cuculiformes, which includes the roadrunners, the anis and the coucals.
The canary is 20 centimeters long and weighs 30 grams. It has a long, graduated tail that is more than half its body. Its head, back and wings are striped in black. The face near the eyes is grayish. To sing, the male perches in exposed places, where the strong black stripes on its back stand out, as does its beak, which is pointed and yellowish with a black upper edge. In front of the eye, a small, light semicircle can help with identification, depending on the light. The underparts are light gray (yellowish in juveniles, whose beak lacks the yellow tone of adults). The legs are yellow or pinkish and the belly is whitish-brown.\nThe long tail (about half the bird's total length) makes it easy to identify from a distance, especially when it perches on the highest branches of grass or exposed branches of bushes. On these occasions, it keeps its tail half open, making the difference in size between its feathers clear: the central ones are larger, while the others are gradually smaller. The tail also helps in identification in flight, as it moves slightly up and down in a unique way. When perched, the long yellowish legs also help to identify this species.\n\nThe immature (young) has a sulphur yellow eyebrow and underside instead of a brownish white, the sides of the chest are streaked and the mandibles are whitish.

The black cuckooshrike (Campephaga flava) is a species of bird in the cuckooshrike family Campephagidae. The species is closely related to Petit's cuckooshrike and the red-shouldered cuckooshrike, and forms a superspecies with them. It is also known as the African black cuckooshrike.\n\nIt is found in Angola, Botswana, Burundi, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Rwanda, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.\n\nIts natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, dry savanna, and subtropical or tropical dry shrubland.

The common cuckoo (Cuculus canorus) is a member of the cuckoo order of birds, Cuculiformes, which includes the roadrunners, the anis and the coucals.\n\nThis species is a widespread summer migrant to Europe and Asia, and winters in Africa. It is a brood parasite, which means it lays eggs in the nests of other bird species, particularly of dunnocks, meadow pipits, and reed warblers. Although its eggs are larger than those of its hosts, the eggs in each type of host nest resemble the host's eggs. The adult too is a mimic, in its case of the sparrowhawk; since that species is a predator, the mimicry gives the female time to lay her eggs without being attacked.\n(wikipedia)
