Longfin Batfish or Spadefish Platax teira occurs in the Indo-West Pacific in a depth range from 3-25m, max. length 70cm. Platax teira feeds on plankton, sessile invertebrates, small invertebrates and marine algae. Bluestreak Cleaner Wrasses Labroides dimidiatus usually occur in pairs in the tropical Indo-Pacific in a depth range from 1-40m, usually 1-30m, max. length 14cm. The species creates 'cleaning' stations to which fishes come to have crustacean ectoparasites and mucus removed. Cleaning intensity is not related to client size or commonness. Even hands of divers will be cleaned if presented to the cleaning station! Palau 7°8'32.467 N 134°13'20.099 E at 18m depth

Orbicular Batfish Platax orbicularis occurs in the tropical Indo-Pacific from the Red Sea and East Africa and Persian Gulf to the Tuamoto Islands, north to southern Japan, south to northern Australia and New Caledonia in a depth range from 5-30m, max. length 60cm. Adults are found singly or in small groups and occasionally in large schools in some areas. There are records off the coast of Florida in the Western Central Atlantic. It's a bit tricky to photograph this fish with flash because it reflects the light perfectly unless the flash units are far off the optical axis. Palau 7°6'13.45 N 134°14'15.72 E at 10m depth
