Tso Moriri lake. Ladakh. India-may 02-2016: The Changpa or Champa are a semi-nomadic Tibetan people found mainly in Changtang in Ladakh and in Jammu and Kashmir. A smaller number reside in the western regions of the Tibet Autonomous Region and were partially relocated for the establishment of the Changtang Nature Reserve. By 1989 there were half a million nomads living in the Changtang area.

These people are making their living in producing Pashmina, a very fine type of cashmere wool which comes from Cashmere goats. Location: Ladakhi part of the Changthang Plateau (literally: northern plains) in Jammu and Kashmir in northern India.

Those little black dots, like ants, are yaks. It's about 4,600 m asl, and trees can't grow except grass. And the higher peaks, the grass is gone. I don't know how green scenery in July and August.It's May now.

We were on a road Trip in the lush Bayanbulak Pasture, which is a perfect place for the nomadic tribes to settle in for a while. All we saw was the snow-capped peaks extending far into the distance, with some pleasant-sounding rivers gurgling along the way. What a place to take a deep breath!!
